Defending Your Rights
We are a panel counsel for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), representing its Disciplinary Committee in appeals before its Appellate Authority.
We have consistently and successfully defended the ICAI’s disciplinary actions in numerous appeals filed by chartered accountants accused of professional misconduct. These cases have involved a wide range of serious allegations, including negligence in auditing (Mulraj Devchand Gala v DC ICAI, Appeal No. DEF 05/ICAI/2022 dated 5 November 2023, Appellate Tribunal, ICAI), conducting biased audits (Naresh Tikamchand Jain v ICAI, Appeal No. 14/ICAI/2021 dated 7 April 2023, Appellate Tribunal, ICAI), and issuing false net worth certificates (Naresh Kumar Singla v Disciplinary Committee, ICAI, Appeal No. DEF 09/ICAI/2022 dated 12 October 2023, Appellate Tribunal, ICAI).
Needless to mention that these are just some examples of our work. For a detailed list of cases and clients that we have represented before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Delhi High Court etc., you can see our list of reported judgments here.
